Successful PALMBERG Fair Presentation at ORGATEC 2012

I’m looking forward to the office!

The ORGATEC which took place in Cologne from 23th to 27th October, 2012 was a meeting point for manufacturers, architects and planners and focused on all matters of the subject Office & Object. The ORGATEC could note around 50,000 qualified visitors from 123 countries at the end of the fair week. They gained insight at the stands of 622 represented companies from 35 countries into future solutions for modern working worlds. 

In 2012, also PALMBERG once more presented new visions on the topic of office at the international leading Fair for Office and Object Worlds in Cologne. On a tour through the 1,230 square metre presentation area in Hall 07.1, Stand A038/041, B041 it was shown how modern and manifold structures of today’s working worlds are professionally put into practice.

During the fair days, PALMBERG could establish far more than 1,000 professional contacts from the most varied stakeholders. Again this year, a substantial surplus in terms of visitor frequency and quality of the fair contacts could be noted. The presentation was focusing on the new product CREW. Whether fixed height, height-adjustable with Easy Push, or crank, up to the electromotive solution –  the new table system CREW creates proper dynamics at the workplace.

At the same time, useful extensions from the field of storage space solutions were rounding off the presentation of novelties. But besides product presentations, the focus was also on the nexus of high-quality product design with new machine technologies in the field of production as well as the subject of veneer.

“Again this year, we presented ourselves as an innovative enterprise at the most important office furniture fair. It was our aim to take advantage of the sector-specific focal point ORGATEC to show our novelties and to get into direct communication with specialist retailers, architects, designers and end customers”, says PALMBERG Managing Director Uwe Blaumann.

PALMBERG again among the winners in a nationwide specialist dealers’ survey 

Besides positive feedback from the different visitor groups, also the Markt Intern Performance Review 2012 was responsible for a pleasing balance. In the nationwide survey, carried out by the independent information service 'markt intern', office retailers evaluated the performance of the most important manufacturers according to eleven different categories. For the fourth time in succession, PALMBERG reached one of the three steps of the winners' rostrum. With the average mark of 1.86 (industry average: 2.33) PALMBERG improved their good result of 2010 once again by 0.25 points. "Good products, very good logistics and a fast, flexible and uncomplicated support by the field staff" are statements of the specialized trade that were associated with PALMBERG again and again in the survey and finally led to second place in the overall ranking. In the categories 'feasible trade margin', 'timing of supply' and 'support by field staff', they even reached the top position.

2012 – Success all along the line

Looking back at the year 2012, there is, in addition to the successful fair presentation at ORGATEC, another important event to be taken into account: the start-up of a new production plant with laser technology (FLEX 2). Now, PALMBERG is able to react even faster and more flexibly to customer requests. Additional positive effects of the new plant are optimising product quality combined with extending production capacities, as well as saving energy of around 30 %.

Also the sales figures were good in 2012: the turnover in August e.g. set a new monthly record of 7.2 million €. In total, PALMBERG expects annual sales of 74 million € for 2012.  

The motto of PALMBERG “I’m looking forward to the office” is therefore not only a positive statement aptly describing a varied range of products, but also stands for PALMBERG’s confidence in coping with the year 2013 successfully. The company is entering the year to come strengthened, but by no means diminishing. Also in the future, the customers of PALMBERG will benefit from the familiar quality that is closely related to the PALMBERG brand.
