Lano Carpets

We keep our feet on the ground!

The current structure of Lano Carpets dates back to 1970, when three Belgian firms with more than 100 years of textile experience joined together. With nearly 500 employees and a turnover of about 100 million euro, the company today belongs to the most important manufacturers of high-quality carpets in the market segment.

In Harelbeke, the company’s original production site, a new two-level office building of 2,500 m² has now been integrated into the 30,000 m²-area of the headquarters. As an internationally renowned company, Lano Carpets placed high demands on an excellent utilisation concept and a high-quality building and office design of the new premises. All building facades have been glazed. In combination with elevated floorings, the colonnades from white exposed concrete ensure that the glass facades are adequately protected.

The interior building, along with a showroom, aims at linking competencies, optimising internal structures and meeting the requirements of high customer orientation. Modern and functional workplaces for the Lano staff had to be created in the striking new building with its compact architecture.

A welcoming showroom is inviting the customers and guests to linger, while on the upper storey of the new complex the project was focusing on the conception of an open office landscape accompanied by adjacent individual offices. Moreover, the working environment was to be staff-oriented and ergonomic. The electromotive solution of the CREW workplace family from Palmberg optimally met these requirements, providing the Lano Carpets staff the basis for modern and healthy working conditions in the office by a perfect combination of form and function. Being intelligent, dynamic and versatile, CREW allows every employee to change between sitting and standing activities. Paired with laser-edged wood-based materials and useful optional supplements in terms of networking, cable management and ergonomics, CREW is becoming the complete solution for every office team. Combined with numerous storage space facilities from Palmberg, which not only provide variable and efficient storage space but can be used for visual and acoustic shielding, the office concept meets all organisational requirements of today’s office working world. The healthy working climate is rounded off by comprehensive acoustical solutions with high-quality acoustic ceilings and carpets, a modern integration of media and a smart lighting concept by daylight-controlled LED systems.
